Terms and conditions
These conditions apply to all sales concluded through the www.otakulounge.com website or the Customer Service Department of Librairies O-Taku inc. and Salon Manga O-Taku inc.

2. Availability of items
All orders are served from our warehouse; products we have in stock are normally shipped within 48 hours. Books that we do not keep in stock can usually be ordered and will be delivered within 2-3 weeks except for Europe orders which can take between 2-12 weeks. However, Librairies O-Taku cannot be held responsible for failure to meet the delivery times displayed.
When a supplier informs us that an item on order is no longer available, the customer will receive a refund notice by email.
Pre-order product availability dates are approximate and subject to frequent changes. Librairie O-Taku cannot be held responsible for these delays. If a release is delayed for more than 30 days, Librairie O-Taku will refund the delayed product. Before this 30-day delay, no refund will be made, but the customer will be able to ask for an exchange.
If the refund is due to an order cancellation by the customer, O-Taku will retain 5% of the transaction in order to assume the bank charges and management fees related to the transaction.
Prices posted on www.otakulounge.com are in Canadian dollars, before taxes and shipping. The books are sold in accordance with the provisions of the Act respecting the development of Quebec enterprises in the book industry. The price is payable in full and in a single payment at the time of order. All orders are payable in Canadian dollars. For all deliveries outside Canada, any customs fees and local taxes remain the responsibility of the recipient. Refunds of items due to availability are also made in Canadian dollars. Please note that the exchange rates applied are those in effect on the day of the order or at the time of the refund. Librairies O-Taku undertakes to refund the same amount in Canadian dollars as the one invoiced for the out of stock or returned item but cannot be held responsible for any difference in currency due to the exchange rate applied by the customer’s bank.
The available discounts are not cumulative, the largest available discount will be applied to the order. Discounts do not apply to gift cards, membership cards, delivery charges.
5. Shipping costs
Shipping costs cover preparation and packaging costs, plus postage. They are established according to the delivery address, the number of items ordered and the total amount of the order, before taxes and postage. Under no circumstances may a customer combine several orders to benefit from a reduction in shipping costs.
Orders placed on www.otakulounge.com or by phone must be paid by credit card, visa debit or paypal. We accept VISA and MASTERCARD.
7. Delivery time
A delay of 2 business days must be allowed for order processing for products in stock at our warehouse, to which must be added 1 to 3 business days on average for delivery in Quebec or 1 business day for expedited delivery. Librairie O-Taku cannot be held responsible for a delay in delivery resulting from a stock shortage at the distributor or attributable to the carrier.
8. Return of goods
The items provided by Librairie O-Taku are new and guaranteed to be free of defects. If an item is defective or does not correspond to what was ordered, Librairie O-Taku will exchange it within 10 days following the delivery date, provided it is accompanied by a copy of the invoice.
If, for any other reason, a customer wishes to return a product purchased on otakulounge.com, he will be able to choose between an exchange or a gift card. Only manga under their original plastic, manga sealed with the O-Taku Manga Lounge ribbon and derivative products will be accepted. No return of unsealed manga will be accepted. Returns must be made within 10 days of the delivery date. If the customer has received a free delivery offer, an administration fee of 20% of the sales price of the returned item will be retained by Librairies O-Taku. The customer will not pay an administration fee if he comes to the store for the return of merchandise.
